IMS DIA
Joins Modi Govt. “Skill India” Campaign
IMS - Design and Innovation Academy (DIA) joins government
“Skill India Campaign” and organized One Week Free ‘Craft and Design workshop’.
First day of the workshop started with a session on Fashion
Design by a renowned Fashion designer Mr Niket Mishra and a practical session
on Madhubani Art by Ms Shilpa Anand.
Around 100 people including DIA students attended the
sessions.
Ms Shilpi Gupta, CMD DIA told that to make Modi’s ‘Skill
India’ dream come true, we have initiated this workshop. There is a shortage of
skilled manpower in India, and this is impacting the industrial growth.
India will
require a large number of skilled manpower in the near future. “The textile and
clothing industry will require around 1.4 crore skilled manpower.
During this
workshop we aim to train people about various crafts and art like Minakari,
Sanjhi, Madhubani etc.
On the
first day of the workshop we got good response from public and we are expecting
that people will appreciate our efforts to promote traditional art to skill
India.
